Welcome to the Teachers Section

Looking for resources and information for lessons on healthy eating for children? Broccoli Bob is here to offer support to teachers in the classroom when working on nutrition and health with pupils at Key Stages 1 and 2.

It is very important to educate children at a young age to influence their eating habits for life through increasing their knowledge and awareness about food and health. This practice ensures that pupils are well nourished at school and are able to concentrate and learn effectively.

As part of Welsh Assembly Government Initiatives - Appetite for Life, Free Breakfast Scheme and Milk Scheme Key Stage 1, we are committed to developing children’s tastes, in conjunction with our partners of Healthy Schools and the Whole School Approach ethos to good food.

Bob has created a list of some of the best web sites to help you promote positive messages to your class about healthy eating and how it can affect their lives.

As well as engaging, informative activities and ideas for projects, many sites feature curriculum packs, booklets and teaching resources that you can download to help you in the classroom.

To get you started, there are some resources which you can download below which include a guide to getting your school involved with Change4Life and posters on easy ways your pupils and their families can make a healthier change to their lives.
